Gallium Nitride on silicon technology brings a signifcant performance advantage over traditional Silicon alternatives.  With Silicon FETs such an established range of components in the market, we take a look at the typical efficiency advantages of a move to GaN-on-Si technology, using half-bridge configurations as a comparison example.
